A 40 hour Technology Training Intensive

Learn to produce television and video products through this 40 hour training intensive. Training focuses on studio production concepts and techniques. Participants will receive lecture and hands-on training regarding: producing, directing, camera operation, floor directing, technical directing, audio mixing, graphics and the production processes utilizing the Amiga systems, lighting, media literacy and other aspects of the production processes. Curriculum consists of lecture with hands-on training each session. For a final, the participants will be required as a team to produce a half-hour live-to-tape talk show program for television. Participants successfully completing the course will also be certified Production Assistants and eligible to participate in the studio productions at Redding Community Access Corporation, Studio 11. Students must attend all sessions in order to be certified/graduate.

To meet the needs of all participants, we respectfully request the following: No children. No food or beverages are allowed in the Control Room or near the equipment on the studio floor. No visitors. No refunds after deadline unless the class is cancelled due to lack of registration. Participants must comply with the Policies & Procedures of Redding Community Access Corporation. To receive certification as Production Assistants, students must fully participate at the direction of the instructor and must attend all sessions. RCAC reserves the right to expel uncooperative participants retaining 50% of the tuition.
